NOTICE OF DEPRECIATION FILING
The REGULATORY COMMISSION of ALASKA (Commission) hereby gives notice that, Alaska Pipeline Company (APLC) filed an application to expand its service territory from the Kenai Kachemak Pipeline in the Ninilchik area southward to the Anchor Point area (Docket U-09-107).
APLC proposes to construct a new 21 mile, 8-inch steel pipeline to increase access to both known and prospective natural gas supplies. The construction of the pipeline will allow APLC’s sister company, ENSTAR Natural Gas Company (ENSTAR), to provide natural gas to the community of Anchor Point, as well as bring gas north to ENSTAR’s existing customers. The proposed pipeline would cost an estimated $23.3 million dollars. It would interconnect with a 9-mile gathering line to be owned and operated by Anchor Point Energy. Anchor Point Energy has entered into a gas sales agreement with ENSTAR that is being concurrently considered within a separate commission proceeding (TA180-4).
